Who operates OriginPlayer

Trieflow LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company, operates OriginPlayer. This policy explains the information involved when you use the website, web app, and supported mobile apps.

Information we handle

  • Account information, including your email address, hashed password, optional display name, and an affirmation that you are 13 years of age or older. We do not ask for your date of birth.
  • Audio you choose to upload, its library metadata, playlists, artwork, and playback state needed to provide your personal library.
  • Your purchase and subscription history, the billing provider, entitlement status, product identifier, renewal or expiration information, and a provider customer reference. We do not store complete payment-card numbers.
  • Support messages, security and service logs, network information, browser or device details, and error diagnostics.
  • Product events and page views while optional analytics is enabled. Analytics is enabled by default for new accounts and can be turned off at any time in Cookie Preferences.

How we use information

We use this information to create and secure accounts; store, organize, and stream personal music libraries; enforce storage and bandwidth limits; provide and reconcile subscriptions; answer support requests; diagnose errors; prevent abuse; and maintain OriginPlayer.

Billing providers

RevenueCat coordinates subscription entitlements across OriginPlayer platforms and receives an OriginPlayer account identifier plus purchase and entitlement records. Stripe processes web purchases. Google Play processes Android purchases. Apple App Store processes iOS purchases. Each payment provider handles payment and transaction information under its own privacy terms. OriginPlayer also keeps the provider and entitlement records needed to prevent duplicate or cross-account purchases.

Other service providers

  • Our hosting and object-storage provider processes application data and uploaded audio so the service can store and stream your library.
  • Our email-delivery provider processes email addresses and message content needed for account and service communications.
  • Sentry receives error and performance diagnostics used to find service failures.
  • Usage analytics is enabled by default for new accounts and can be turned off at any time. While enabled, PostHog receives product events, page and screen views, and interaction events recording which controls were used. PostHog analytics does not receive music titles, filenames, playlist names, search terms, email address, or library content: on-screen text is masked and web addresses are reduced to page patterns before anything is sent. Session recording is disabled.
  • MusicBrainz may receive music metadata to look up catalog information.
  • LRCLIB and Lyrics.ovh receive track metadata (title and artist, plus album and duration where supported) to find lyrics. Audio files, account identity, access tokens, and local file access are not shared.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect the service or its users, during a business reorganization, or when you ask us to do so. We do not sell personal information.

Local files and browser storage

If you connect a local music folder, the read-only file handle and the filename-and-size mapping remain in browser storage on that device. They are not uploaded to OriginPlayer and can be unlinked in Settings. We use essential browser storage for session, playback, consent, and offline features. Optional analytics storage is enabled by default for new accounts and can be disabled at any time.

Retention and security

We retain account and library information while your account is active. After deletion, some limited records may remain when needed for security, fraud prevention, transaction accounting, dispute handling, backups, or legal obligations. We use access controls, transport encryption, and hashed passwords, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You can update profile information in Settings, enable or disable analytics in Cookie Preferences, and request account deletion in Settings. Account deletion removes OriginPlayer account and library data subject to the limited retention described above; an app-store subscription may also need to be canceled with the provider. See our public account deletion help.

Children

OriginPlayer is not offered to children under 13. Registration requires an affirmation that the person creating the account is 13 years of age or older. If you believe a child under 13 has provided information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it.
